18th April 2008 – New drug and alcohol solution for North WestDrug and alcohol problems in the North West are never far from the news – but what about drug and alcohol solutions? The focus was very much on the solution on Friday 18th April, as Trust The Process Counselling opened a new abstinence-based treatment centre for addiction and alcoholism in Warrington. The new Warrington centre offers residential rehabilitation and daycare services for addiction and alcoholism to men and women, aged 18 and above. Trust The Process Counselling have treated well over 300 clients in Luton for addiction and alcoholism since opening in 2006, with a success rate 1.5 times higher than the national average. The opening ceremony for the new Warrington centre saw invited guests from the drug and alcohol field in the North West come together to find out more about addiction treatment at Trust The Process Counselling. Former light heavyweight boxing champion, John Conteh, made an appearance at the event, giving his support to the new centre. Managing Director, Tom Kirkwood, said: “We are working closely with Warrington DAAT to integrate our abstinence-based treatment programme into addiction treatment provision for Warrington and the North West. "At our launch ceremony, we were delighted to welcome key speakers offering their experience on drug and alcohol treatment in the North West, including the National Treatment Agency’s Regional Manager, Mark Gilman, and Warrington DAAT Manager, Amanda Finch."
