20th June 2008 – Family days launched at Trust The Process

In line with the focus upon the family in the new 10-year government drug strategy, Trust The Process Counselling launched their family days this month.

Devised by Head of Counselling in Luton, Jef Mullins, the family days incorporate an explanation of the nature of the disease of addiction, insights into the treatment process, a tour of the treatment centre and a 'Process' group with family members and clients addressing the emotional issues of the family unit.

Speaking after the first family day on Friday 20th June,

Jef said: "The feedback from family members and clients about the day was unanimously positive. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the centre with family members here. Family days will be run every three weeks."
